Modi Guarantees India Will Be Among Top 3 Economies in Third Term

Prime Minister Narendra Modi has said that India will be among the top 3 economies in the world by the time he completes his third term in office. Modi made the remarks during a speech at the Indian Institute of Technology, Kharagpur.

“In my third term, India will be among the top 3 economies. And this is Modi’s guarantee,” Modi said.

Modi’s comments come as India’s economy is facing a number of challenges, including rising inflation and a slowdown in growth. However, Modi pointed to the country’s strong economic fundamentals, such as its large population and growing middle class, as reasons for his optimism.

“India is the fastest growing major economy in the world. We have the potential to become the third largest economy by 2030,” Modi said.

Modi also said that his government is committed to creating an environment that is conducive to business and investment. “We are simplifying the regulatory framework and reducing the tax burden on businesses,” Modi said.

Modi’s comments were welcomed by the business community. “The Prime Minister’s statement is a vote of confidence in India’s economic future,” said Chandrajit Banerjee, the director-general of the Confederation of Indian Industry.

However, some economists are more cautious. “It is too early to say whether India will be among the top 3 economies by 2030,” said Madan Sabnavis, chief economist at CARE Ratings. “There are a number of challenges that India will need to overcome in order to achieve this goal.”

Despite the challenges, Modi’s comments are a sign of his confidence in India’s economic potential. If he is able to deliver on his promise, it would be a major achievement for his government and a boost for the Indian economy.
