PM Modi Pays Tributes to Lokmanya Tilak and Chandrashekhar Azad on Their Birth Anniversary

Prime Minister Narendra Modi paid tributes to freedom fighters Lokmanya Tilak and Chandrashekhar Azad on their birth anniversary on Saturday. He said that they epitomized courage and patriotism and their contributions to the freedom struggle will never be forgotten.

“I bow to two great sons of Maa Bharti, Lokmanya Tilak and Chandrashekhar Azad on their birth anniversary. These two stalwarts epitomise courage and patriotism. Their contributions to the freedom struggle will never be forgotten,” Modi tweeted.

Tilak was a leading figure in the Indian independence movement and is known for his role in the Swaraj movement and the Ganesh Utsav. Azad was a revolutionary who is known for his pledge to never get caught by the British.

Modi also shared clips from one of his “Mann ki Baat” episodes in which he paid tributes to the two freedom fighters. In the clip, he talked about Tilak’s role in the Swaraj movement and his efforts to raise awareness about Indian culture. He also talked about Azad’s courage and determination in the face of British oppression.

Modi’s tribute to Tilak and Azad comes at a time when India is celebrating its 75th year of independence. The two freedom fighters played a significant role in the struggle for independence and their contributions are still remembered today.
