Rajya Sabha Adjourned Till Noon, Lok Sabha Till 2 PM After Opposition Protests

The Rajya Sabha and the Lok Sabha were both adjourned till noon and 2 pm respectively on Tuesday, moments after proceedings began, following protests by the opposition over various issues.

In the Rajya Sabha, the opposition members raised slogans and demanded a discussion on the Pegasus spyware controversy, the recent Agnipath scheme for military recruitment, and the rising inflation. They also demanded that the government withdraw the controversial Agneepath scheme.

The government, however, refused to discuss these issues, saying that they were not listed in the agenda for the day. This led to an uproar in the House, and the chairman was forced to adjourn the proceedings till noon.

The Lok Sabha was also adjourned till 2 pm after the opposition members raised slogans against the government and demanded a discussion on the Pegasus spyware controversy.

The protests by the opposition have disrupted the proceedings of Parliament for several days now. The government has accused the opposition of disrupting Parliament for political reasons, while the opposition has said that they are protesting against the government’s policies.

The adjournment of the two Houses of Parliament is a setback for the government, as it is trying to pass a number of important bills in the ongoing monsoon session. It remains to be seen whether the government will be able to resume the proceedings of Parliament and pass the bills that it wants to.
