SBSP Joins NDA, Rajbhar Says Will Together Strengthen Backward, Dalits and Marginalised Sections

In a major boost to the BJP in Uttar Pradesh, Om Prakash Rajbhar-led Suheldev Bharatiya Samaj Party (SBSP) has joined the ruling National Democratic Alliance (NDA). The announcement was made by Rajbhar himself on Sunday after a meeting with Home Minister Amit Shah in New Delhi.

Rajbhar said that the SBSP’s decision to join the NDA was a “historic moment” and that it would help to “strengthen the backward, Dalits and marginalised sections of society”. He also said that the SBSP would work together with the BJP to “uplift the poor and deprived” and to “ensure that everyone gets a share in the fruits of development”.

The SBSP’s decision to join the NDA is seen as a major gain for the BJP in the run-up to the 2024 Lok Sabha elections. The SBSP has a significant following among the Rajbhar community, which is a large OBC group in Uttar Pradesh. The Rajbhars are considered to be a key electoral constituency in the eastern parts of the state, which are considered to be BJP strongholds.

The SBSP’s decision to join the NDA is also seen as a setback for the Samajwadi Party (SP). The SP had been hoping to forge an alliance with the SBSP in the run-up to the 2024 Lok Sabha elections. However, the SBSP’s decision to join the NDA has effectively ruled out any possibility of an alliance between the two parties.

The SBSP’s decision to join the NDA is a significant development in the political landscape of Uttar Pradesh. It remains to be seen how the decision will impact the 2024 Lok Sabha elections. However, it is clear that the SBSP’s decision has given the BJP a major boost in the state.
