Murray to Face Peniston on Centre Court, Federer to Be Honored

Andy Murray will be in action on Centre Court at Wimbledon today, as he takes on British wild-card entry Ryan Peniston in the first round. The match is scheduled to start at 1:30 pm BST.

Murray, who is seeded 52nd in the tournament, is looking to improve on his performance from last year, when he reached the third round. Peniston, who is ranked 145th in the world, is a rising star in British tennis and will be looking to make a name for himself on the big stage.

In addition to Murray’s match, there will also be a ceremony on Centre Court to honor Roger Federer. Federer, who has won eight Wimbledon titles, announced his retirement from the sport last year. The ceremony will begin at 2:00 pm BST.

Federer will be presented with a special award by the All England Club, and he will also give a speech to the crowd. The ceremony is expected to be a fitting tribute to one of the greatest tennis players of all time.

I’m excited to be back at Wimbledon,” said Murray. “It’s always a special feeling to play here, and I’m looking forward to the challenge of facing Ryan.”
