Sensex Hits Fresh Record High of 66,060.90

The BSE Sensex closed at a fresh record high of 66,060.90 on July 15, 2023, up 164.99 points or 0.25% from the previous day’s close. The NSE Nifty also closed at a record high of 19,413.75, up 29.45 points or 0.15%.

The Sensex and Nifty were boosted by gains in IT, banking, and consumer discretionary stocks. Infosys, TCS, and HDFC Bank were among the top gainers on the Sensex.

The strong performance of the Indian stock market comes amid a global rally in equities. The US stock market also closed at record highs on July 15.

Analysts say that the Indian stock market is being driven by a number of factors, including strong economic growth, low interest rates, and positive earnings outlook.

They expect the Sensex to continue to rise in the near future, but they warn that there are some risks to the outlook, such as rising inflation and geopolitical tensions.
