Tel Aviv Attack: Eight Hurt in Palestinian Car-ramming, Stabbing

Eight people were injured in a Palestinian car-ramming and stabbing attack in Tel Aviv on Tuesday.

The attack took place in the city center, near a busy bus stop. A Palestinian man rammed his vehicle into the bus stop, then got out and stabbed several people. He was shot and killed by an armed civilian.

The eight injured people were taken to hospital. Two of them are in serious condition.

The attack is being investigated by Israeli police. They have not yet identified the attacker or said what his motive was. “This was a horrific attack, and our thoughts are with the victims and their families,” said Israeli Prime Minister Yair Lapid. “We will not allow terrorism to win.”

The attack comes amid a wave of violence between Israelis and Palestinians. In recent months, there have been a number of stabbings, shootings, and car-ramming attacks in Israel and the West Bank.

The violence has been fueled by tensions over the status of Jerusalem and the Israeli-Palestinian conflict.
